Isn’t the idea that you’re about to make a shit load of money from the Olympics to pay for it?
Well, that’s the idea, yes. Our PM claims the Olympics will bring in thirteen billion, but… our government, er, doesn’t have the best record when it comes to making predictions and a lot of economics commentators in our media seem deeply sceptical.
I’m probably still just angry that we spent any money at all on the London 2012 mascot, font and logo so don’t listen to me!
