#I am really amused by The Alex Rider books okay
#partly because I used to think they were the BEST THING EVER
#but also because they're just one of those things that most people my age were really really into for a few years
#and I feel like we're all going to look back on them and be perplexed by that
#not that they're bad by any means
#and they got a lot of kids into reading- especially those rare kids who didn't like Harry Potter
#but they were just so wonderfully overblown and I can't believe we didn't realise it
